Portals and categories in articles

Fair use images

On the French wiki (which I ran through a translator), it says that non-free images (i.e. copyrighted images like fair use) are not allowed to be used on articles, even at lower resolution like Wikipedia does. It's very likely a sidewide policy & there's just not the same staff structure to enforce these. Gstar (talk) 20:42, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

Yeah, that's a bit vague. They allow you to use wikis from Wikimedia Commons though, and they automatically embed (see the Mario article, for example). Gstar (talk) 16:15, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Portals

We now have Portal:Mario and Portal:Nintendo, translated from the French wiki. There's also the Cheep Cheep article, in which I typed the history sections ground up.
