Vikidia Talk:Administrators
Do we have to do a rule to remove administrator's rights when he or she is inactive. -- Comedia 16:33, 10 August 2015 (CEST)
- We don't have one right now, but I think we should have some kind of inactivity policy. Wynter (talk) 03:22, 28 August 2015 (CEST)
- I agree, we have to call the comunity to talk about this. -- Comedia 11:36, 28 August 2015 (CEST)
- Yes, that's the kind of "rules" that don't fall under "Global Policies" and that have to be discussed by each communities locally. For example, on fr.vd inactive accounts are "desysoped" after 1 year of inactivity (status can be reconvered on users request, without new vote), on it.vd every sysop (active or not) need to be reconfirmed every year, etc. We should think and discuss about a "desysop policy" for en.vd. The only think that can't be decided "locally" is the removal of global rights (no community vote can revoke a developer per example). Linedwell (talk) 11:44, 28 August 2015 (CEST)
- It sould be borne in mind that here, an administrator inactive for a long time but present for a little while can be very useful with his tools considering the number of active users.
- I think, therefore, two years is wise if you want to desysop rights after inactivity. Regards,--CRH ( — ) 10:10, 29 August 2015 (CEST)
