DaneGeld Dear Administrator, I made such a mistake that it is like giving a 3-week block. Parvez Hossain Talukder article Administrator went through the discussion and the administrator himself is removing the removal tag. Again, I am removing the removal tag from an IP, now what did I do against the policy that I was given a clock. Thank you SM Rafiq (talk) 03:59, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

SM Rafiq: - I removed the deletion tag because I closed the discussion, and marked the article as kept. This was because the vote was tied at 2 to keep, 2 to delete.

If you look further down current version of the Requests for deletion page (in the Closed requests section), you will see that I made a note to say that it needed a consensus, that hadn't been reached. I also said that it doesn't prevent someone nominating it again. We need a clear vote in one direction or the other.

The block I gave you, is because only administrators can remove delete templates once a discussion is completed, and by removing them yourself, you prevent that discussion taking place. The article is now locked so that nobody can edit it, and the delete tags have been replaced

Once that discussion is over, the article will be unlocked.

Your block will remain in place. You are welcome to appeal it, of course, but it will be handled by another administrator.

I know that administrators remove removal tags. I am removing the tag from an IP address that has been removed.SM Rafiq (talk) 08:09, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

The IP address in question, has done what I allowed when I closed the first discussion. They have nominated the article again, so that we can reach a consensus. While the vote remains tied, there is no clear decision one way or the other, and as the closing administrator, I can't vote, because it makes a conflict of interest.
