Finnish (suomi) is an Uralic language. Finnish is spoken by 5.4 million people and is one of the two official languages in Finland. Finnish is recognised minority language in Russia, Sweden and Norway and one of the official languages of the European Union.

The Finnish language is most similar to Estonian and less to Hungarian.
