Shrews are small mouse-like mammals which eat mostly insects.
They have sharp pointy teeth, short legs, and a narrow pointed nose. They can eat 2 to 3 times their own weight in a day. With heart beats near 1,000 beats per minute, they are very active, and rarely live longer than a year.
