Racism is the belief that people from some races are better than people from other races, with the consequence that people of the "bad" races are badly treated. This days, most scientists don't believe that there are human races better or worse than others.
Racism has been used to justify slavery, wars, colonization, etc.
People categorize themselves and other people in races based on visible things such as skin color, form of the head, etc. but scientists has found that the DNA of people of all the world is very similar, so the concept of races in human beings is not very useful in biology.[1] All modern humans came from the same group of early humans who lived in East Africa. es:Racismo eu:Arrazakeria fr:Racisme nl:Racisme
