The team was founded in 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before moving to Los Angeles in 1960.
Winning 16 NBA championship titles, the Lakers are the second most successful team behind the Boston Celtics.
Several legends, such as Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant, have worn Lakers jerseys during their entire careers.
