Begum Khaleda Zia (born August 15, 1945) is a Bangladeshi politician and the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). She served as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for three non-consecutive terms and is a critical figure in the country's political landscape.

Khaleda Zia was born in the Dinajpur district of British India (now in Bangladesh). She was educated at the University of Dhaka, where she completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English literature.
