On May 5, 2023, a strong earthquake hit in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.[1] 1 people have died and 33 have injured.

Earthquake[edit | edit source]

The earthquake occurred at 2:42 p.m. JST measuring M 6.2, at a depth of 8.7 kilometers, and landslide hit in Suzu. The maximum intensity of Shindo 6+.[2] A magnitude 5.6 aftershock hit in the area at 21:58 JST,[3] along with over 50 other aftershocks hitting on Saturday.
