Wii U

Wii U released in 2012 by Nintendo. It's a home video game console from Nintendo that's brimming with games and experiences you can enjoy alone or with friends and family. It comes with a unique controller that redefines the dynamic of playing games together: the Wii U GamePad. Wii U is backwards compatible with almost all Wii games and accessories, so you'll be able to continue enjoying your favourite Wii experiences on Wii U. Nintendo closed down the Wii U and 3DS eshop on Monday 27th March, 2023, meaning that you are no longer able to buy digital games on either platform. Online play for these consoles was shut down on Monday 8th April 2024. But you can still access the servers through Pretendo which is also available for the Nintendo 3DS.
