The New York Knicks are a professional basketball team in the NBA that was founded in 1946. Their games are played at Madison Square Garden. They have won 2 NBA championships: 1970 and 1973

The team's name comes from New York hero Father Knickerbocker.

Some notable players include Patrick Ewing and Carmelo Anthony.
