Myron Avery (Born 1899, died 1952) was a lawyer and explorer from Lubec, Maine. He studied law, first at Bowdoin College, then at Harvard Law School, from where he graduated. When he left Harvard Law School, he practised law with the Arthur Perkins law company in Hartford. He was also a US Navy veteran, having served in both World Wars. He was awarded the Legion of Merit during his naval service.[1].
