Montpellier is a city in the south of France. It is prefecture of department of Hérault and of region Occitanie. The city is particularly famous for its "place de la Comédie".
In Occitan, the city is called Montpelhièr , but is nicknamed Lo Clapàs , or "the pile of stones".
