Fatima Al Fihriya was an Arab Muslim who found a school and turned it into the first university ( the university of Al Quaraouine in Fes , Morocco in 859)

She was born at 800 , sadly she died at 880 at the age of 80. Then she grew up in a wealthy and educated family. One of her family members , her sister Mariam , was the sponsor of ( Al Andalus ) Mosque also in Fes . The library Al Fihri created at the university ; is one of the worlds oldest libraries. It underwent restoration and reopened to the public in May 2016, It contains a collection over 400 manuscripts which include a 9th century Qu'ran and the earliest collection of hadiths.
