Cockfighting

Cockfighting is a blood game sport between two roosters that is held inside the cockpit.

How to play

The players consist of four people: a man plays the rooster, a woman plays the hen, and one man and one woman serve as the water attendant. When playing, the man and woman who play the rooster bow down together, one facing north and the other facing south. The man who serves as the water attendant stands next to the rooster, the male next to the rooster, and the male waits for his female rooster to give him water.

The player's actions are as follows:

When the roosters were ready to fight, the roosters' owners clapped their hands and shouted,

“We've won”

After the roosters' owners shouted, the roosters prepared to fight by raising their arms in the manner of a rooster flapping its wings and walking slowly, approaching each other, in a manner similar to a show of fighting, but without touching shoulders or hands, just touching each other's hands in the rhythm of the roosters' songs. Then the roosters' owners sang,

“The roosters are fighting, the roosters are fighting, the roosters are fighting , the roosters are fighting, the roosters are winning.”

When the roosters' owners sang, the two roosters jumped into the middle of the circle and jumped back out, came out and came back in, flapping their wings as before. The roosters' owners shouted and sang again as before.

Whichever chicken is the most courageous, brave, and strong during the fight is considered the winner. When one pair of chickens first knows whether they have won or lost, the owner of the chickens gives the chickens water to drink, such as palm juice or porridge, as entertainment and fun, and they prepare to fight again. They play like this until it is time to stop.

This game can be considered a sport for training children to develop the habit of being brave.
