A Gun, also known as a firearm, is a type of weapon or tool, depending on how one uses it. Guns can be dangerous if not used correctly so always treat them with respect.
People use guns for hunting, sports, and for protection.
The Rules of Gun Safety[1][edit | edit source]
- Never mess with a gun unless you have permission and are being supervised by a trustworthy adult, like a parent.
- Never use a gun if you do not feel well, physically or mentally. Seek help from a loved one or professional.
- Always wear ear and eye protection before shooting or being around a gun.
- Never point the gun at a person, pet, building, or anything you do not intend to shoot.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
- Leave the gun unloaded when not in use.
