Politics is about human power over other humans.

It can mean the organization of power in a country, city, county, or state. It can also describe the way people in a group act toward each other.

Politics comes from the Greek word polis, which means city.

Internal politics concerns the choices of politicians (leaders) for the country they govern. External politics concerns how a country deals with other countries.

Liberal politics, or socialist politics tell about a certain way of governing. A democracy is a type of politics in a country that elects leaders who assist the top leader and another group of people who vote on laws.

Other types of politics are a monarchy, anarchy, dictatorship, or aristocracy.
