Argentine War of Independence

The Argentine War of Independence, also known as the War of the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata, was a series of military campaigns and combats that took place during the Spanish American wars of independence. It occurred in various South American countries, in which military forces of the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata, one of the states that succeeded the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata and that preceded the Argentine Republic, were involved.
