The iPhone 3GS is a smartphone made by Apple Inc. It was first released in 2009. It was succeeded by the iPhone 4 in 2010.
The device originally came with iOS (iPhone OS) 3.0, and the latest available version was iOS 6.1.6.
New features compared to the iPhone 3G include a digital compass (a magnetometer) and video recording.
