Long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) Central Catchment Area, Singapore 30th. March 2008 One of group found wandering in the reservoir area amongst signs saying "Do not feed the monkeys, they have enough to eat in the forest". Unfortunately, kind souls persist in feeding them despite the threat of a $400/- fine. www.sgforums.com/forums/1902/topics/304802 www.wildsingapore.com/places/monkey.htm Guess they will never learn. Soon these macaques will be bold enough to forage in houses bordering the reserve and complaints will come to National Parks and a culling party will have to be formed, So much for kindness.
