April Fool's Day is coming

My own personal opinion is that you shouldn't prank on here. It happens with Wikipedia, where they put joke things on the front page on April fools day, and a lot of users get misled by them or wind up believing something that isn't true. An encyclopedia is for real, accurate, helpful information, and I don't think it's appropriate to play jokes on people here. Others may disagree with me, so don't presume this is a no! Simply put, no. Brightly coloured backgrounds with dark text would be very difficult for people with sight difficulties to read. Part of being a website anyone can edit, is that our content must be accessible to those using the site. I can try and see if we can do this with pale colours, where the text would be easy to read if that would be better. DaneGeld (Talk to me!) 14:30, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Ok, I'll see what I can do. I'll talk to the other admins and see what they think. While I have you, could I please ask you to change the moving gif in your signature to a still image please?
