Cascading protection on Main page: not a good idea...[edit | edit source]
Hello,
Due to the cascading protection set on the Main page, regular users cannot even propose "images of the week" any more. I think that the main page should be protected without cascade. Maybe some of the pages used to create its components could be protected as well, but a full cascade is too restrictive.

- Theoretically, on every wikis, the main page has a cascading protection because it's the page the most visited, and a vandalism may be very seeing. On fr.vikidia, we have a system which allows the edit on the images du jour by every users as long as the page is not used on the Main page. I'm going to remove the cascading protection as long as we don't find a better solution... --CRH (
