It was imported from the Simple English Wikipedia, which is allowed because of the compatible copyrights of both Vikidia and Wikipedia. Therefore, I don't think it should be deleted. Wynter (talk) 19:25, 13 May 2015 (CEST)

Is there any place that says articles imported from Wikipedia must be deleted? Vikidia:Deletion doesn't mention Wikipedia at all, and Vikidia:Import of article from SEWP and Wikijunior seems to support importing articles from Wikipedia. You can still use Vikidia:Request for deletion for that article if you want, though. I just don't see any reason for speedy deletion. Wynter (talk) 19:36, 13 May 2015 (CEST)

Well, no doubt it shall be so for texts from the "plain"/normal English Wikipedia, yet I think that Simple English Wikipedia is a great resource to use to grow Vikidia in English, provided we choose and import the article properly and even check and rewirte some part of them. I've done quite a few like this, see User:Astirmays#From Simple English Wikipedia (and thanks Wynter: to remind this page: Vikidia:Import of article from SEWP and Wikijunior). I know it has been debated times to time, yet we have more than ten time less articles on this wiki than in fr: or nl: and getting a good and developped articles is really needed. Stubs are OK but they don't fill the need of the readers as long as they are only stubs... (Young) readers wants substantive content, at least that's what they regularly write on the guestbook of fr.vikidia. We may even change this template:welcome on that point.
