Albert Einstein: copyright violation[edit source]

Dear Haris,

You've recently created the article Albert Einstein.

  • I agree, there should indeed be such an article in Vikidia.
  • However, a plain copy of a Wikipedia article doesn't make sense. On the one hand, a simple copy doesn't bring any added value to anyone. On the other hand, Vikidia articles are supposed to be understandable by children (target readers are 8-13 years old) and this is usually not the case with Wikidia articles, hence the raison d'ĂȘtre of Vikidia.
  • It may happen that part of a Wikipedia article (usually a few sentences here and there, or its overall structure) is copied to Vikidia where it then gets reworked to make it suitable for children. In such a case, the initial copy must be properly attributed to the Wikipedia contributors, by indicating its source.

In its current state, the article you created is not acceptable and will be removed.

You are welcome to contribute further to the Vikidia project. I'd however strongly advise you to create small articles with your own words rather than copying full sentences from any other sites. That's how the information will be most useful and other contributors will be happy to further expand the small articles over time.

Kind regards,

Camila cabello: copyright violation[edit source]

Hi,

Again, the content of the article Camila cabello is mostly copied from another site, this time a Fifth Harmony fan wiki on wikia.com. As such, it will be removed from Vikidia.

As explained already yesterday, you are welcome to contribute on Vikidia... provided that you do so with your own sentences.

Kind regards,
