Various festivities are celebrated in Holland, such as Easter and the King's Day. Apart from the official holiday days, the Dutch go on holiday at different times of the year.

Particularity[edit | edit source]

The Mauritshuis was the former residence of Count Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen, from which it takes its name. Today it houses an extensive art collection that includes paintings by the most famous Dutch painters. The palace was remade in the 17th century on a project by architects Jacob van Campen and Pieter Post for the Dutch royal family.

Gastronomy = a particular dish[edit | edit source]

In Italy you go to eat a pizza, in Holland you go to eat a Frietje. Frietje means fries then eaten with different sauces and fried snacks. A special frietje are fries with mayonnaise, a curry sauce served then onions cut into thin cubes.
