Touro Synagogue

The Touro Synagogue is the oldest surviving synagogue in the United States of America. It was designed by British-Colonial era architect Peter Harrison, and built between 1759 and 1763. The synagogue is located at 85 Touro Street in Newport, Rhode Island. In 1946, it was declared a National Historic Site.
