Shinzo Abe (Japanese: 安倍晋三; September 21, 1954 — July 8, 2022) was a former Japanese Prime Minister, and member of the House of Representatives, representing Yamaguchi (4th District). He was the President of the Liberal Democratic Party and had served under two separate emperors, Akihito and Naruhito. He was assassinated at a political rally for a local candidate in Nara Prefecture on July 8, 2022.
