Rosemarie Magdalena Albach or Romy Schneider (23 September 1938 – 29 May 1982) was a German-French actress. Her most notable roll is that of Empress Elisabeth of Austria in the Sissi trilogy. These three Austrian films became a big hit in Europe and are one of the few examples of the German language cinema.
