Rodents (Rodentia) are a group of generally small mammals, with special incisors that grow during their entire life. Rats, mice, squirrels, marmots, woodchucks, and porcupines are some of the numerous species of rodents in the world. The largest rodent is the capybara of South America. Some rodents can be kept as pets, such as Fancy mice, fancy rats, hamsters & gerbils.
Rodents are known to carry diseases such as the plague, tularemia, and hantavirus.
