Pierre-Auguste Renoir (25 February 1841 – 3 December 1919) was a French Impressionist painter. He specialized in pictures depicting women and children, female nudes, social dancers, and life in the cafes and parks of Paris. His best known works are Dance at the Moulin de la Galette, Luncheon of the Boating Party, The Swing, and Mme. Charpentier and Her Children.
