Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg (born: 24 October 1989), better known as PewDiePie, is a Swedish YouTuber known for his Let's Play videos. His channel is currently the fourth most-subscribed with 111 million subscribers[1] and 28 billion views.[1]

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg was born on 24 October 1989, in Gothenburg, Sweden. His father, Ulf Kjellberg, and mother, Lotta Kristine Johanna Kjellberg. He was born to Lotta Kristine Johanna (née Hellstrand, born 7 May 1958) and Ulf Christian Kjellberg (born 8 January 1957), and grew up with his older sister, Fanny.[2] He graduated from Göteborgs Högre Samskola in 2008 and attended the Chalmers University of Technology.

Felix dating Marzia in August 2011. In August 2019, Felix married Marzia on their 8th anniversary at the Kew Gardens.[3]

Beginning[edit | edit source]

Felix joined YouTube on December 19, 2006. His first channel was named "Pewdie". On April 29, 2010, PewDiePie was created his channel on YouTube and he started uploading his first video in October 2010, titled "Minecraft Multiplayer Fun".[4]

On October 9, 2011, pewpewpewPEWDIE was created his channel on YouTube, and he started uploading his first video on 22 October 2011.[5] Ever since 2013, the Pewdie channel has been inactive.

Popularity[edit | edit source]

In October 2018, PewDiePie uploaded his music video "T-Series Diss Track".[6] In 2019, T-Series surpassed PewDiePie in terms of subscribers.

In 2022, PewDiePie moved to Japan.
