Napoleon II

Napoleon II (20 March 1811 – 22 July 1832) was the son of Napoleon Bonaparte and for a short time the second Emperor of France.
Napoleon Francois Joseph Charles was known from his birth as the King of Rome. Three years after his birth, the First French Empire collapsed. In 1815 the French council recognized him as Emperor. After the Battle of Waterloo where his father Napoleon I was completely defeated, Napoleon was confined to the Austrian court and used the title Duke of Reichstadt. Napoleon died of tuberculosis in 1832.
In 1940, Hitler gave his remains to France as a gift and he was laid to rest in Les Invalides in Paris.
