Malta is an island country in Europe. It is located in the Maltese archipelago, in the Mediterranean Sea. The Maltese capital is Valletta, and the largest city is Birkirkara.

Country geography[edit | edit source]

The Maltese archipelago, located in the Mediterranean sea, is composed of two main islands, Malta and Gonzo, and other smaller islands which are mostly uninhabited (meaning that no humans live on them). It has a Mediterranean climate, characterized by dry and hot summers, coupled with wet and mild winters. It is facing some climate change issues, such as the rise of the sea levels, and temperatures.
