James Fenimore Cooper

James Fenimore Cooper (September 15, 1789 - September 14, 1851) was an American writer.
Cooper was famous for his five novels called The Leatherstocking Tales. These novels follow the life and career of an American frontiersman named Natty Bumpo. The five novels are The Pathfinder, The Last of the Mohicans, The Deerslayer, The Pioneers, and The Prairie.

Cooper was born on September 15, 1789 in Burlington, New Jersey. He died on September 14, 1851 (aged 61) in Cooperstown, New York.
