A greengrocer, also called a fruiterer, is someone who sells fruit and vegetables. The shop were a greengrocer works is called a greengrocery or simply "grocery store" that may include other foodstuffs. It may be a department in a large supermarket.

The greengrocer sells fresh produce which is grown by a farmer. Some greengrocers specialize in offering organic produce which is grown without the use of artificial pesticides. Grocers offer fresh produce in season, but may also have imports that are in demand. These usually cost more.

Besides selling different kinds of fruit and vegetables, the grocer may sell similar foods like herbs, spices, plants and food products like jams, marmalade and honey.
