Queen Elizabeth I

Queen Elizabeth the First lived from 1533 to 1603.[1] She was a powerful and important queen of England from 1558 to 1603. Elizabeth's parents were Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. Her mother, Anne Boleyn, was executed some two years after Elizabeth was born.

Elizabeth was the fifth and last ruler from the Tudor family. She was queen for 44 years, the Elizabethan era, during which England became a great power.

Among her first actions as Queen was the beginning of the English Protestant church. Elizabeth I was named as the Supreme Governor. This church later became the Church of England.
