Electromagnetic spectrum
The Electromagnetic spectrum is a big name for types of radiation. The types are radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma rays.

Radio waves[edit | edit source]

Radio waves are the lowest energy waves. They are huge, they are as tall as buildings. They are used for radio and TV signals.
Microwave[edit | edit source]

Microwaves are mainly used for microwave ovens. Radar uses microwaves, not radio waves. They are much smaller than a radio wave.
Infrared[edit | edit source]

Infrared rays are shorter than microwaves and used for thermographs. We can feel infrared sometimes. It is used for electrical heaters also.
