Eadweard Muybridge was a British-American photographer.
He lived from 1830 to 1904 and died at 74.
As a young man he moved from Great Britain to the United States.
His photographs of the Yosemite Valley were very famous.
He made a special camera setup to help a rich man win a bet about how horses run. He showed that sometimes all four legs of a horse are off the ground at the same time.
He made a sort of early movie machine and gave many talks about how animals move.
His special photos of animals and humans moving helped artists and scientists.
