Cannes
Cannes is a touristic city located in south of France, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes. This city has 73,600 inhabitants (2012) and an area of 19.62 km².
The city is known worldwide for its annual summer event, the Cannes Film Festival, where famous actors and producers come to present and promote their films to the public.

Cannes has a major economic environment based on tourism and business. It has developed high technology activities with Sophia Antipolis' technopolis.
The city hosts Cannes – Mandelieu Airport alongside Mandelieu-la-Napoule for aviation training and business jets traffic.
The Cannes Mandelieu Space Center, owned by Thales Alenia Space, is one of the European artificial satellites and space probes manufacturers.

The Lérins Islands (Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat) are the largest islands off the bay of Cannes.
