A calculator is an electronic device that is used to do math operations.

Modern calculators are small, portable devices that can fit in a person's hand. Most computers and smartphones have built-in calculators in their software.

The Pascaline.

Well before the invention of electronic calculators, mechanical calculators have been created to perform basic operations. The Pascaline is one of the first such devices, invented and built in the 17th century by Blaise Pascal.
