Avicenna
Avicenna, or Abu Ali al-Husayn ibn Abd Allah ibn Sina was an Islamic scientist, philosopher, and physician.
He lived from 980 to 1037.
He was born in the city of Bukhara in what is now Uzbekistan.
He was the doctor to several kings.
His books on medicine and philosophy changed the way medieval Europeans thought about the world.
