Anton Chekhov

Anton Chekhov (1860 - 1904) was a famous Russian playwright and short story author. He wrote many short stories such as "Vanka" and "The Lady with a Dog". He wrote four plays that are standards in classic theatre: The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, The Three Sisters, and The Cherry Orchard. Cartoonist Sidney Harris once depicted him as the most influential figure in all fields.[1]
